We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join our team at Chani Nicholas Incorporated.

The Job
Chani Nicholas Incorporated is seeking an experienced full-time Senior Engineer. This role is responsible for...
- Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements and specifications;
- Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications following project requirements and timelines;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, gather requirements, and implement solutions;
- Leading the design and architecture of complex software systems;
- Leading code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices;
- Identifying and resolving software defects and issues promptly;
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering their professional growth; and
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our software development processes.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Engineer at CHANI, you will...
- Play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions;
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to build and enhance software applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, and security;
- Collaborate with and mentor the engineering and cross teams; and
- Share knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization.
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate has…
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on developing large-scale applications;
- Extensive knowledge of programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL;
- Strong knowledge of software design principles and best practices;
- Experience with web development frameworks and technologies (e.g., React Native, Next.js, Node.js);
- Proficiency in database design and management (SQL databases);
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud;
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum; and
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creatively.

The Interview Process
- Our team will review your application materials and will be in touch if we’d like to move forward with your candidacy. Depending on the number of applications, this may take some time.
- If we would like to move forward with your application, you will interview with our VP of Engineering.
- From there, you’ll participate in an hour pair programming session with two senior engineers. You’ll be asked to share your screen and work through coding challenges.
- In the third round, you will interview with other leaders on our team and relevant staff members.
- In the final round, you will interview with our Chief of Staff, President, and CEO.
- We will make a final decision and notify you.
Location
This position is fully remote, within the US, though you must be willing to travel to NYC annually.
