ServiceNow Developer/Contractor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer with a specialization in populating, architecting, and maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) using ServiceNow Discovery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in planning and building CMDB architecture for on-prem and cloud infrastructures, application endpoints, and SaaS services. This role is pivotal in driving IT operations and requires a deep understanding of Discovery, MID servers, and ServiceNow ITOM Visibility products.

Responsibilities:

• Design, architect, populate, and maintain the CMDB using ServiceNow Discovery tools.
• Plan and implement CMDB architecture tailored for on-prem infrastructure, cloud environments, application endpoints, and SaaS services.
• Establish comprehensive goals for Discovery implementation and secure alignment with stakeholders.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain MID servers.
• Define a credentials strategy and create Discovery schedules.
• Use patterns to optimize Discovery across multiple environments, including serverless infrastructure.
• Deploy ITOM Visibility products, including Discovery and Service Mapping.
• Automate the Discovery process through scheduled tasks.
• Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of information stored in the CMDB.
• Coordinate with IT teams to ensure CMDB alignment with business needs and compliance requirements.
• Train staff and develop documentation for CMDB processes, architecture, and Discovery.
