We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Operations (IT) Specialist to join our team at Chani Nicholas Incorporated.

The Job
Chani Nicholas Incorporated is seeking an experienced full-time Technical Operations (IT) Specialist. This role is responsible for providing advanced technical support and expertise to resolve complex technical issues, designing and implementing IT solutions, and optimizing IT infrastructure to meet organizational needs and objectives.
The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-oriented systems administrator and technical support specialist who can quickly assess issues and problem-solve to find the best solutions. You work proactively, thriving in environments where you can innovate, while also adhering to the proper systems and order of operations. You have the ability to balance structure and creativity, finding ways to streamline processes without getting bogged down by red tape or “brogrammer” culture. You are a team player, equally comfortable setting up new systems independently (informed by cross-team input) as you are assisting new hires in learning our systems and ensuring smooth onboarding.
As a Technical Operations Specialist you will monitor and maintain various technical platforms and give recommendations on improvements. As an in-house tech support you’ll get to interact with the whole team by first welcoming them into our software systems and then by supporting them as technical needs arise.
What You’ll Do
As a Technical Operations (IT) Specialist at CHANI, you will…
- Administrate device and password management;
- Manage identity and access management;
- Upgrade and manage systems to ensure they are operating effectively and efficiently;
- Document all technical processes, upgrades, and decisions;
- Track and maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals;
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and deployment of software applications, operating systems, and hardware devices;
- DNS management and maintain best practices
- Google Workspace,
- Permissions & Integrations,
- Website;
- Implement new business and productivity software;
- Interact with hardware and software vendors;
- Assist with procurement, asset management, and inventory control to ensure that IT resources are utilized effectively and in compliance with organizational policies and procedures;
- Assist in technical onboarding and offboarding of employees, including setting up new employees with Google workspace and other systems;
- Train staff on new software, systems, and best practices;
- Respond to employee inquiries and requests for assistance regarding computer systems, software applications, hardware devices, and network connectivity issues;
- Update knowledge bases for employees (i.e. resource lists, guides, training materials, how-to’s, etc. regarding tech and data usage, and data security);
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure the stability, security, and performance of IT systems;
- Provide user training and documentation; and
- Other duties, as required, to ensure that our daily operations are smooth and successful.
Who We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate has…
- Previous experience in a technical support role or technical customer service engineer with technical and/or coding experience;
- A solid understanding of computer software and hardware, computer networking and cybersecurity is essential;
- Strong communication skills can help you give effective written instructions and advice via email or chat and clear verbal directions in person, over the phone, or video chat;
- Strong people skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to work well with others as well as alone;
- Having problem-solving skills can help you approach these issues logically and reach solutions quickly;
- Proficiency with Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, 1Password, Loom, and Zendesk;
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality;
- Ability to work independently and be proactive, with minimal supervision;
- A commitment to CHANI Inc.’s mission of supporting everyone in living their purpose;
- Be able to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 100% of a typical working day;
- A U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is able to legally work in the U.S.; and
- A basic understanding of astrology is preferred.

The Interview Process

Location
This position is fully remote, within the US, though you must be willing to travel NYC annually for in-person retreats and department meet-ups as needed.
